Allègre goes viral with help from will.i.am

A Financial Times Ten Questions profile of Dr Allègre Hadida quickly went viral yesterday when will.i.am retweeted the link to the interview to his 11 million followers – many of them also retweeted it.

Allègre had mentioned will.i.am as a business influence and ‘creative powerhouse’ in the article.

It all started last December with a press release to the media about Allègre’s involvement with the Entertainment Master Class – a peer-to-peer organisation for the global entertainment industry’s movers and shakers. They came from across Europe to Cambridge Judge Business School in January to network and hear Allègre and Professor Dame Sandra Dawson speak on business strategy and leadership. The FT picked up the release and interviewed Allègre.

Allègre mentioned will.i.am as the business strategist whom she would most like to meet, tweeted the article to will.i.am and the rest is now social media history. Allègre also tweeted an invitation for will.i.am to come to CJBS and speak to her students. So far he has not replied but the School’s Library & Information Services team have started a campaign to bring him to Cambridge with the hashtag #willcome2CamUni.
