Run part-time over 3 months, Impulse blends teaching, expert advice, networking and extended mentoring from some of Cambridge’s most successful entrepreneurs.
We welcome applications from researchers and early-stage entrepreneurs from both within and beyond the University.
Now in it's 10th year, Impulse is a unique entrepreneurship programme for tech innovators who want to transform their brilliant science into serious commercial propositions.
Run part-time over 3 months, it blends teaching, expert advice, networking and extended mentoring from some of Cambridge’s most successful entrepreneurs.
Impulse has an extraordinary track record, with alumni going on to raise over £350 million in funding and to employ over 1,000 people since the programme's inception.
We welcome applications from PhDs, postdocs, researchers and scientists from across physical sciences, technology, life sciences and related disciplines. You do not have to be affiliated with the University, but do need a strong idea for an innovative technology you are ready to explore.
Full and partial funding is available through a range of fellowships provided by our generous partners. For the best chance to be matched with an available fellowship, please make your application in the first round, which closes on 2 Feb 2026.
