An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Engineering Research Support Office for a Knowledge Exchange Facilitator, who will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Engineering's portfolio of world-class research. The Department is the largest in the University which presents exciting opportunities to work with very large academic and research communities. The Engineering Research Support Office is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where every day is different. The current team (10 staff) have established a reputation for delivering high workloads and quality of service, implementing process changes and working collaboratively across the university and beyond, under the leadership of the Head of Research Support.

You will help support the Research Impact and Engagement Manager to deliver Department's knowledge exchange and engagement strategy with activities including: identifying new industry partners; working with businesses to develop research opportunities; supporting academics in developing and sustaining research impact and knowledge exchange; promoting translation of research outputs into commercial propositions and coordinating activities for increasing engagement with industry.

The successful candidate will be educated to at degree level or possess an equivalent level of practical experience. The role would suit someone who enjoys working in fast paced environment, has strong interpersonal skills, enjoys liaising with academia and industry, and who can work both independently and as part of larger team.

The role provides an element of flexibility including working from home under the Department's and University's evolving policy on new ways of working. However, it is expected the role holder would work at least 3 days a week in the office - both at our Trumpington Street site and at West Cambridge.
