Research Associate (Fixed Term)

The Faculty of Divinity invites applications for a full time Research Associate in Literary Platonism: 1500 to the present. This is a fixed-term position for 36 months owing to limited funding. The expected start date is 01 September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The role holder should have a research specialism in any field relevant to the intersection of Platonism and the English literary tradition (for instance, applicants with a relevant disciplinary background in theology, philosophy, history or English literature are welcome). Candidates must have a PhD in Theology, literature, intellectual history or philosophy (or be close to completing i.e. to have submitted their thesis at time of application).

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in independent research and plan and convene interdisciplinary workshops on Literary Platonism.
