The Faculty of English is seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable individual to the post of Postgraduate Administrator. You will be responsible to and work alongside the Faculty's Postgraduate Coordinator to contribute to the effective administration and development of the Faculty's Postgraduate Office, which supports all postgraduate (MPhil and PhD) admissions and education across the Faculty which includes the Department of Anglo-Saxon Norse and Celtic and the academic programmes for Cambridge Digital Humanities.

The role provides administrative and clerical support for applications to postgraduate courses, coordination of teaching, postgraduate research seminars, for student progress and assessment, working closely with the academic officers who have specific responsibility for postgraduate students' education (the Directors of Postgraduate Studies, for English, ASNC and Cambridge Digital Humanities). The role holder will primarily support the MPhil and PhD in Digital Humanities plus other Faculty MPhil and PhD programmes, acting as secretary to committees for admissions and student education.

The successful candidate will be proficient in using Microsoft Office software, including Access and Excel; have well developed organisational skills; and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written). They should be able to work with a high level of accuracy and have good attention to detail.

Candidates should be educated to HND, HNC, level 4/5 vocational qualification or hold an equivalent level of practical experience. Administrative experience in a Higher Education environment and knowledge of course administration is essential for the role.

The post is full-time with working arrangements to be agreed between the successful candidate and the Faculty at the time of appointment, taking into account the Faculty's expectation of working from at the office at least three days a week.
