Senior Platform Engineer  (DevOps Engineer) 

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Cellular Origins, you’ll be working with our software engineering teams to automate software build tasks and infrastructure, build self-service environments for engineers, and foster collaboration between dev and ops teams.  

This is an opportunity to join a true multidisciplinary team and broaden your skills – you'll have the opportunity to work closely with the broader electronics, robotics and system engineering aspects of the system.  

You will be joining a fast-growing, interdisciplinary team with a passion for solving a worthwhile problem. This is somewhere to really make your mark, working in a technically challenging and impact-driven venture, with bright and committed peers, to define the future of cell therapy manufacturing.  

Requirements

You will have a strong background in designing and deploying infrastructure to enable rapid and robust delivery of software to both Cloud and in-house environments, and your comprehensive technical skills will allow you to quickly understand new concepts and collaborate effectively with team members.  

  • A strong understanding of the core principles of DevOps and how our teams can most effectively adopt these  
  • Provisioning infrastructure including servers, networking, storage, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) 
  • Developing automation scripts and tooling using automation tools  
  • Building a CI/CD pipeline, including build/test/deployment workflows 
  • Monitoring system performance to analyse performance, security, and reliability 
  • Integrating security and compliance into the platform with encryption and access management 
  • Documenting configurations and processes so different teams understand how to use the same platform 
  • Collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to understand what they need from the platform 
  • Researching emerging technologies to build into the platform, as well as their potential impact 
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering 
  • Experience working within an agile environment (Scrum/BDD/TDD/XP)
