Georgina has growing experience in the private sector working across a wide range of projects, including development within the Green Belt, residential developments, and historic estate properties.

Her specialist area is heritage and she prepares heritage statements for clients. She has been involved with several restoration and change of use projects, including work within a Grade I Registered Park and garden and development within the curtilage of listed buildings.

Georgina previously worked at JB Planning Associates.

She said: “I joined Bidwells as they were clearly dedicated to helping me develop my career in the direction I wanted it to go, by creating a joint role between the planning and heritage teams for me. I was attracted to Bidwells as it is going from strength to strength as a property consultancy and I wanted to be part of, and contribute towards, this growth.”

The Cambridge Planning Team comprises 15 planners dealing with a variety of planning work for landowners, investors, house builders and educational institutions, including across the key areas of Environmental Impact Assessment, Socio Economics and retail.

Marcia Whitehead, Team Leader said: "Georgina is an experienced planner with a breadth of knowledge across many key areas. We are certain she is going to become an important part of our team at Bidwells."

The Heritage Team, which was launched last year, has already doubled in size in order to manage its growing work portfolio. The team, which is part of the Planning Division, provides a wide range of expertise relating to historic buildings and areas as well as research and design advice.

Chris Surfleet, Head of Heritage, said “Georgina brings a combination of planning and heritage expertise to our team. We always work closely together on projects but this joint role is a further benefit.”

The Planning Division additionally includes the Urban Design Studio which offers a wealth of services including Master planning and Landscape Visual Impact Assessment for an equally wide range of clients.

Bidwells’ Cambridge Planning Team is celebrating after the CB1 Masterplan was named as a finalist in the 'Excellence in Planning to Create Economically Successful Places' category for the Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence 2017.
