Impressively, 110 tickets were sold and £312 was raised. It was fantastic to see the girls displaying their skills, both in their traditional arts and modern dancing. There were several expert performances on the Chinese zither and displays of beautiful traditional dress. The boarders had a lot of fun performing and the camaraderie in the boarding community was evident.
The Boarders' Concert is just one of many fundraising events that students at St Mary's take part in throughout the year. The annual charity fun run in October, themed 'To Infinity and Beyond', saw students and staff race around Lammas Land dressed as aliens and astronauts - they raised over £7,900 for charities such as Tom's Trust, SENSE and the St Mary's sister school in Zimbabwe.
