Cambourne hosts the Hi-Tech Developers' Conference

The Belfry Conference Centre at Cambourne will once again be hosting this year's annual UK event for engineers and computer scientists working in the field of hi-tech development. The UK Device Developers' Conference will take place on 27th and 28th April 2016.

Developers working in such fields as medical devices, automotive, telecoms, robotics, banking and avionics attend the Device Developers' Conference  to explore new technologies and meet with fellow experts. The Conference includes a series of technical workshops, an agenda of expert technical presentations and an exhibition of development tools, hardware and software solutions.

"A key theme at this year's conference is 'safety and security'," said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. "In recent years, software reliability has been the big discussion point, but now, with electronics, such as in cars, having increased connectivity, security is emerging as an equally important challenge. Several of this year's workshops and presentations will discuss this challenge and will introduce new approaches and new tools to help engineers address this important challenge."

This year's Device Developers' Conference will be running alongside a new event for hardware developers. Entitled H/WExpo, it will cover such topics as silicon choice, PCB and circuit design tools, ASIC and FPGA design, test equipment, display technology and reference design platforms.

"We are excited to be announcing what is probably the first UK conference to focus on the development and testing of hardware," said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. "We have workshops that will explore the latest technologies in LED and optoelectronics, hardware platforms for 3G and 4G IoT, a masterclass in hardware debugging and presentations that explore silicon for secure communication and also developments in memory devices. H/WExpo is shaping up to offer delegates a very worthwhile and productive event."

Attendance at both Conferences is free to developers and technical managers. There is a small charge for some half day workshops. The organisers recommend early registration for the event as places are limited and several of the workshops have only a few spaces remaining. Delegates can attend for one or two days, or even part of the day.
