The expertise and experience of Ting Zhang, Founder and CEO of Crayfish.io, makes her an important speaker at next month's Cambridge China Forum – the inaugural event aiming to drive forward UK/China business relationships.

Known as one of the UK's leading China business experts, Ting has more than two decades of experience of UK-China international business, trade and investment. She has been active in helping to bridge the language and cultural gaps between China and the UK for many years, so her insight will be invaluable at the event, which takes place at The Guildhall, Market Square, Cambridge CB2 3QJ on 20th and 21st November.

Ting first came to the UK to study at the University of Cambridge, and then in 2001, foreseeing the increasing trade between the UK and China, she left her career as a banker in the City of London to set up China Business Solutions, which then became one of the most reputable China specialist consultancies in Europe. She has personally coached many British entrepreneurs and helped them achieve better results in doing business with China.

In her continuous pursuit for a more efficient and affordable way to facilitate international trade with China, Ting launched Crayfish.io in 2017, the first online platform dedicated to English-Chinese bilingual business services. Crayfish.io uniquely assists companies which want to develop an enterprise-wide strategy for entry into the Chinese market, or business people who want to get to grips with language and cultural differences. As well as offering tailored solutions to market access issues and tactical help to execute strategies, it matches talented Chinese speaking professionals with Western businesses who need help in dealing with their Chinese partners and audiences, providing a source of qualified people to undertake projects and offer information, knowledge and cultural insight.

Ting says of the forthcoming Cambridge China Forum: “For the past 17 years I have been personally witnessing and actively facilitating trade, investment and technology links between Cambridge and many parts of China.

“It is time to consolidate the learning from both sides and to deepen the collaborations, by sharing experiences and building joint visions for the future. The Cambridge China Forum is a perfect way to achieve this and I’m pleased to be part of this important conversation.”

Ting will be chairing the collaboration opportunities session, as well as joining the panel for ‘When East Meets West’.

Cambridge China Centre, an emerging organisation in Cambridge, facilitates interaction and collaboration between members, driving long-term UK/China business relationships. It is now focusing on launching the business sector activities through the Cambridge China Forum.

Designed as an intimate, bespoke event, with only 50 tickets available to purchase, Forum delegates will benefit from impactful interactions and initiating long-term business relationships. Tickets are available via http://www.cambridgechinaforum.com
