Stone King, which has an office at Bateman House in the city, has been ranked as top tier for its national work in both the education and charity & social enterprise sectors by the Legal 500.

The guide, which carries out independent research before awarding its rankings, also recognised the legal expertise of partner Julie Moktadir (pictured) who founded a specialist immigration practice at the firm in Cambridge three years ago.

The Legal 500 has ranked Julie in Tier 2 with one client saying: “I could rely on her and if I had any query, herself or another colleague was ready to help me through the telephone. I got my status of citizenship in a few weeks as she presented all the documentation in a proper way.”

The practice covers a range of immigration queries, including assisting faith-based organisations with issues faced by religious workers and volunteers, and advising on shortages of occupation across the charity and education sectors.

Stone King's Managing Partner, Steven Greenwood, said: "I'm delighted with the recognition we continue to receive both for our dedication to clients and our expertise. It is testament to the experience and professionalism of our outstanding lawyers.”

The firm works nationally with its other offices in Bath, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and London.

Also attracting recognition for his work in the employment team is Tim Tyndall who is also based in Cambridge.

The employment team’s work includes disciplinary, grievance and capability procedures, as well as age, disability, race, sex, sexual orientation and religious discrimination matters.
