Conference workshop explores the development of ‘certified’ embedded systems

A workshop at the forthcoming UK Device Developers' Conference will explore the use of TT architectures for developing safe and secure software for intelligent systems and devices.

SafeTTy Systems, experts in safety-critical embedded systems, will be presenting a half-day technical workshop at this year's UK Device Developers' Conference, to be held near Cambridge on 27th and 28th April.

Titled "Developing ‘Certified’ Embedded Systems", this workshop will explore the use of time-triggered architectures for developing software for reliable real-time embedded systems.

“From aircraft, cars, medical equipment, factory control systems to household appliances, the modern world relies on increasingly complicated embedded software.  It’s absolutely essential that engineers, designers and programmers are equipped with the technology and tools that they need to produce safe and reliable systems,” said Michael Pont, SafeTTy Systems. “This year’s conference is shaping up to offer a great opportunity for anyone looking to advance their knowledge in this crucial area.”

The UK Device Developers' Conference is a two-day conference for engineers and computer scientists involved in the development of intelligent systems and devices. It is an event that explores the very latest tools and technologies available and includes a vendor exhibition, half-day technical workshops and a series of informative technical presentations.

SafeTTy Systems provide support for organisations across the world that need to create real-time embedded systems that are safe, reliable and secure. Many of their customers are involved in the development of embedded systems in compliance with ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO-178 and related international standards.

“We are very pleased to have SafeTTy Systems presenting a workshop as part of the Conference,” said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. “Michael is a great presenter and has great depth of knowledge in this field. It is sure to be a very worthwhile and productive workshop.”

This year's Device Developers' Conference will be running alongside a new event for hardware developers. Entitled H/WExpo, it will cover such topics as silicon choice, PCB and circuit design tools, ASIC and FPGA design, test equipment, display technology and reference design platforms.

Attendance at both Conferences is free to developers and technical managers. There is a small charge for some half-day workshops. The organisers recommend early registration for the event as places are limited and several of the workshops have only a few spaces remaining. Delegates can attend for one or two days, or even part of the day.

About The Device Developers’ Conference
