Cord blood banking comes to Cambridge

The Directors of Global Regulatory Services (GRS) were present at the London Regenerative Medicine Network (LRMN) event on 25th January where the announcement was made regarding the new Partnership between the Virgin Health Bank and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

GRS says: "It's great to see Cambridge at the forefront yet again. This time it's the partnership recently announced between the Virgin Health Bank and the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

"This partnership is to accelerate the development and availability of stem cell transplants and it is hoped that it will demonstrate what can be achieved via a collaboration between the private and public sectors. Another objective is to increase availability of cord blood cells and thereby reduce the currently high costs of transplants."

The full meeting report on the LRMN event, including this announcement, can be found on the GRS blog.
