Energi lifts the lid on writing an effective press release

UK technical marketing experts Energi Technical Limited have announced that their Managing Director, Richard Blackburn will be presenting at a Cambridge Network breakfast event in Cambridge on Thursday 25th September.

The session, which takes place from 8am - 10am  at the Future Business Centre, King’s Hedges Road, Cambridge CB4 2QT, will focus on how to create an integrated PR campaign and will feature several industry experts.  Find out more and sign up here.

At this event Richard Blackburn of Energi will be sharing his approach to writing effective press releases and will explain how, if developed carefully, they will play a crucial role in the building of an attractive brand and wider awareness of the benefits of a product or a service.

For over a decade Energi has been providing marketing and PR services to a broad range of European technology and science organisations.

"Well-developed PR can be immensely powerful." said Richard Blackburn. "A well crafted news release can find itself in magazines across the world and be live on web portals for several years. Indeed, it is probably the single best way to increase web traffic and add value to a product or service.

"At this event I'll be sharing my thoughts on what I think makes a press release 'editor friendly' and how best to use the release to reinforce the company brand and market position."

After initially working as an electronics design engineer, Richard went back to college to study Business and Finance and then moved into international sales. During this period Richard learned the value of good marketing and well crafted PR. In 2003 Richard set up Energi to provide technology companies with a resource for high quality PR.

"As a sales engineer, I saw that effective PR would bring in more enquiries and that my prospects often had a positive understanding about my products and my company, even before I started my presentation," said Richard.

"In addition to this, I saw that carefully crafted PR would also add to the market value of the company that I worked for and also helped facilitate critical industry alliances and future investment. In these modern times, PR is a critical business function, and it is important to get it right."

Energi's clients range from German debug-tool company Lauterbach to UK based electronic instrumentation company Mantracourt. Energi also manages and promotes 'The UK Device Developers' Conference', an annual event for engineers working to develop intelligent devices and intelligent systems. Over 250 senior engineers attended the 2014 Conference and over 30 technology vendors exhibited and presented.
