Last term, Ken Dickson, the founder of Axiom-e, ran three versions of 'The Pillars of Business Success' course to audiences drawn from more than 20 countries, including one course for a professional services association from Malaysia.

Ken noted

"It was a particular honour to be invited to run a two-week course for the 100th International Summer Programme of the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education. It's always a pleasure sharing and discussing ideas with an international audience."

He continued:
"I'm very pleased to have been invited to speak  on 13th September at the first of this term's series of Business Insight Seminars run by the Quadram Institute. The BIS initiative is very helpful, as it enables scientists to gain an insight into the challenges of commercialising the outcome of their research activities."

To be successful, organisations must plan for - and respond to - likely and unlikely situations.  Using the POBS model as a framework, ‘Essential Building Blocks for Business Success’ will consider key factors to focus on when building a new business in order to increase its chance of survival.

Based at the Norwich Research Park, the  Quadram Institute provides  a state-of-the-art facility for bioscience and clinical research, and endoscopy. Ken's talk will therefore include illustrative references to R&D-based companies and university spin-outs that he has worked with.

If you are based at the Quadram Institute, or any of its associated organisations, you are welcome to come along, so do register in the usual way. I look forward to meeting you.
