Free evening classes on offer at Cambridge Regional College

Cambridge Regional College will be celebrating Adult Learners’ Week in June with a bumper range of free taster classes, including welding, hairstyling, jewellery, pottery and electronics.

The classes, which start on 8 June, are open to all and offer the chance for adults to try out more than 20 different courses before choosing which ones to enrol in – and be among the first to book their place.

The fortnight of free taster sessions is part of a national Festival of Learning designed to inspire more adults to discover how learning could change their lives.

Alan Jones, Deputy Principal of Teaching and Learning at CRC, said the free classes offered a great opportunity for people to try something new.

“We’ve put together a fantastic range of free courses for adults to try during the Festival of Learning with opportunities available for everyone. So if you’ve always wanted to know more about electronics or print-making then this is the time to give it a go,” he said.

“Our evening classes are taught by experienced teachers who are specialists in their field and our facilities are among the best in the country, so we hope adults enjoy learning here as much as our full-time students.”

The free tasters also include CV-writing workshops, a chance to sample Higher Education classes at CRC and sports sessions for adults with learning disabilities.
