This annual festival brings together developers from around the globe to explore the next generation of tech. With over 30 hours of in-depth presentations, codelabs, and interactive demo sessions, Jonathan confirmed the event really was the immense experience it was billed to be.

He summarised his learnings in three blog entries:

Day One

The keynote opened the festival with "Mobile first to AI first" and Google's approach to dominate the AI space. This remained a theme throughout the first thought-provoking day and the focus of Jonathan's first post.

Day Two

With so much to see and do at Google I/O, Jonathan's second blog entry explored three areas - building fast web apps, Internet of Things and machine learning.

Day Three

The final day of Google I/O brought a wide mix of talks and interesting references to real-life examples. There was in-depth discussion about using progressive web apps, Flutter, and indoor location.

These posts are available for all to view on the Green Custard blog. Take a look and read what's in store for the future of software development.
