The popular fundraising event, sponsored by ScottishPower Renewables, saw teams of colleagues, friends and families take on a series of muddy obstacles, with participants pushing themselves to the limit while raising vital funds to help East Anglian Air Ambulance continue delivering lifesaving critical care across the region.
Inspired by the incredible resilience shown every day by East Anglian Air Ambulance pilots, doctors, paramedics, patients and their families, Only The Brave reinforces the courage it takes to overcome life’s toughest challenges.
From monkey bars and cargo nets to giant slip-and-slide descents, the courses provided plenty of muddy fun, with every obstacle designed to be achievable yet thrilling. Participants could choose between three courses: a three-mile family-friendly route featuring more than 10 obstacles, a six-mile challenge with 26 obstacles, or a 10-mile course featuring 35 obstacles. Participating local companies included Boniface Engineering from Thetford; a team from Morgan Sindall Norwich; and Vantage UK Group from Woodbridge.
Stuart Wyle, Director of Fundraising and Supporters at East Anglian Air Ambulance, said: “Only The Brave has once again shown us the sheer determination, courage and community spirit of our supporters. Seeing people of all ages take on the mud, tackle obstacles and encourage each other across the finish line was fantastic. Every participant who took part played a part in supporting our lifesaving work. The funds raised through events like Only The Brave help us continue bringing critical care to people when they need it most. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, fundraised, volunteered and cheered from the sidelines.”
