The Grain Barn Welcomes Its First Guests
Since opening its doors in April, The Grain Barn has quickly become a much-loved addition to the Sandon Manor estate. Designed as a luxurious countryside retreat with expansive views across our rewilded landscape, it has already welcomed a wide variety of guests.
The Grain Barn has proved the perfect setting for corporate off-sites, leadership retreats and team getaways, offering businesses an inspiring place to meet, reconnect and unwind away from the office. It has also become a popular choice for wedding guests looking to extend their wedding with an elegant countryside stay just moments from the wedding venue. Watching guests relax together around the kitchen island, enjoy evenings beneath the stars and wake to uninterrupted countryside views has been everything we hoped for when creating this unique space.
Introducing Our New Outdoor Spa Experience
We're delighted to announce the opening of our brand-new Sandon Manor Spa, exclusively for guests staying on the estate.
Nestled amongst nature, our outdoor wellness space has been thoughtfully designed to encourage guests to slow down and reconnect with the landscape. The spa features two rainwater-fed, wood-fired hot tubs, a traditional Japanese cold plunge pool and a beautifully crafted cedar sauna housed within a restored horse box.
Available exclusively to guests staying in The Manor House, The Grain Barn and The Dovecote, the spa has already become a favourite way to relax before a wedding celebration, unwind afterwards or simply enjoy a peaceful countryside escape.
Celebrating 125 Weddings at Sandon Manor
This year we proudly celebrated a very special milestone — 125 weddings hosted here at Sandon Manor over the last 3 years.
Each celebration has been wonderfully unique, yet all have shared the same sense of warmth, joy and unforgettable moments that make weddings here so special. Seeing families and friends gather across the estate, with many choosing to stay together in The Manor House and The Dovecote, continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
To every couple who has trusted us with their wedding day, thank you for allowing us to be part of your story. We feel incredibly privileged to have shared so many beautiful celebrations and look forward to welcoming many more in the years ahead.
Growing Our Rewilded Landscape
Nature has always been at the heart of Sandon Manor, and we're continuing our commitment to creating an estate where both wildlife and people can thrive.
This summer we're preparing for the planting of 400 new native trees across our rewilded nature reserves. Tree guards are currently being installed ahead of winter planting, helping to establish the nature reserves that will continue to enrich the estate for years to come.
Guests staying at The Grain Barn have particularly loved watching the abundance of wildlife from its floor-to-ceiling glass wall, with regular sightings of birds; countless native species across the surrounding landscape.
We're also creating a peaceful new decking area beside one of our ponds, tucked within the nature reserve and reached via the estate's nature walk from the accommodation. It will provide a tranquil place to sit with a morning coffee, enjoy yoga surrounded by nature, pause for quiet reflection or even host an intimate outdoor wedding ceremony overlooking the water.
