Dutch Minimum Wage changes 2024

The minimum wage increases by 3.75%.. Henceforth the minimum wage is expressed as an hourly wage of €13.27/hour.

30% expat Ruling.

The 30% tax free salary for expats must now decrease -so the normal 30% goes down to 20% after 20 months then to 10% after a further 20 months till the 5 year limit is reached.

Tax-Free “Working From Home” allowance

The Tax-Free “Working From Home” allowance is raised  from €2.15 to €2.35 per working day.

Travel Expenses and Work From Home
IF a company reimburses the “commute” to work, the rate should now be €0.23 per kilometre. Work-from-home allowance and travel/commute allowance cannot be paid for the same day. But if an employee goes to see a customer and then returns to “work at home” then €2.15 as home office allowance and €0.23/km of travel allowance is payable.

Minimum Salaries for Immigrants (far higher than UK)
Minimum salaries for (non EU) immigrants are as follows (In Netherlands there are 13 months of salary AND a vacation allowance of 8% but this does not apply to the minimum wage for skilled migrants so these monthly salaries need to be simply multiplied by 12 to get to annual salaries.
•    Highly  skilled migrants under 30 years of age: €3.909 per month
•    Highly skilled migrants 30 years or older: €5.331 per month
•    European Blue Card holders: €6.245 per month
