New global event management company launched in Cambridge

Quy Mill Hotel & Spa, currently the home of The Cambridge Roar, will also provide the headquarters for TR Global Events Ltd. Further offices are being opened in Nottingham, Florida and San Francisco as part of the launch.

Tony Murdock, Director of Quy Mill Hotel and Spa, and Founder and Chairman of the Cambridge Roar Festival, established the new venture, TR Global Events, which will deliver event creation, planning, logistic and management to clients across the globe.

The success of events at Quy Mill and The Cambridge Roar have acted as the springboard upon which TR Global will be launched. The experienced team have already used their diverse skills base to establish the Roar and other events held at Quy Mill as well as other venues across the region. These have included opulent Champagne dinners, outdoor picnic style jazz concerts, comedy nights, business exhibitions, large-scale gala balls and more. With several high-profile clients already making enquiries, TR Global are set to expand on this success and venture out into the wider commercial world of events.

The new company will offer its full-service event management solutions and packages within a corporate or personal setting, covering everything from large-scale corporate events including team-building days, conferences, tradeshows and exhibitions, to more intimate affairs such as weddings and birthday parties. The company will focus on delivering the full 360-degree aspect of event management, from creative design and event production, to venue sourcing, ground handling and transport, resulting in a complete package for all events.

The multi-faceted, highly-experienced team of Directors include Managing Director Tony Murdock and Directors Gary Winter and Steve Warren.

Since his appointment in 2013 as the General Manager of the Quy Mill Hotel and Spa, Tony Murdock has been instrumental in the team successfully achieving AA 4 Star status, an Investors in People award, and a prestigious AA 4 Star Silver Status award amongst numerous other accolades. He began his career in hospitality and events in Belfast almost 20 years ago, and has since managed several 4 Star hotels in Ireland, Scotland and England. Alongside his role as General Manager of the Quy Mill Hotel, Tony is also the Founder and Chairman of the Cambridge Roar Festival, which is based at the Hotel. The Roar Festival raises money for local charities through a series of events. In April 2017, Tony was appointed to the Quy Mill Hotel and Spa Board of Directors.

Gary Winter is a highly-experienced event manager and a jazz singer. He is the Founder and Director of Norwich-based event production company, Allseason Productions. Gary is also Event Manager for the Cambridge Roar Festival.

Steve Warren is the Managing Director of innovative Nottingham-based design agency, Creative Minds. He has almost 30 years of experience working in the creative industries having founded and run several successful companies during this time.
