New Year = Resolutions: To get fitter, To go for that promotion, To be better.
When you think of new year resolutions, are you also seeking to create a new you?
STOP
What if the New You isn't needed? What if the same you is truly good enough? You just don't believe it yet...
Start to accept how good you really are
Take on board that positive feedback - they really do mean what it says
Open your mind to the possibility that you may be wrong about your capabilities and that others may be right
Practice updating your self-view to one which is more accurate AND more positive, based on external evidence
In my book, The Imposter Phenomenon, I unpick the psychological concept of why people feel like a fraud and what you can do about it. If you know someone who feels this way, I also cover how to support them - and ironically it is NOT telling them how good they are as that can make the imposter feelings worse.
In the first six months of publication The Imposter Phenomenon sold more copies than the estimated sales for the first four years! That's testament to how much this work is needed. I'm honoured to have some great reviews on Amazon and Good Reads - you can check these out for yourself.
And if you have already bought a copy, thank you.
If not, perhaps it could be the book that kick starts the New Year, Same You for 2026...
