The school is looking for companies to participate in the Management of Technology and Innovation (MoTI) Project, which offers the chance for local businesses to access the talents of Cambridge University Masters Degree (MPhil) and PhD students from a range of disciplines. In return, students gain first-hand experience of some of the challenges faced by innovators in high-risk, high-pressure environments.
The project takes place during Lent term, running from 15th January – 21st February 2014, with presentations held between 24th February and 21st March 2014. It is a part-time, hands-on engagement, with four to six students working as a team of consultants to a real organisation, under the guidance of a University supervisor. While students gain valuable consultancy experience, clients benefit from an international team of bright, motivated and committed students focusing on an issue that they might not otherwise have had the time or resources to tackle.
The School welcomes proposals from all types of organisations, from entrepreneurial Cambridge-based technology start-ups to major corporations. But hurry! The proposal submission deadline for the MoTI Project 2014 is next Thursday, 14th November 2013.
