Pirus Consulting to present at the One Nucleus Life Science Leadership Series on September 24

Increasing demand for high quality data by the regulators from medical and healthcare innovators at an early stage of product lifecycle is explored in an article The Shrinking Black Box. A discussion of practical steps for innovators to ensure high quality data will be presented in Ensuring a Solid Foundation as part of One Nucleus Life Science Leadership Series at 2:00pm on September 24th.

Over the past decades due to the increasing complexity of innovations in the medicines and healthcare sector and the increasing need by the regulators to understand these technologoes the size of the R&D black box in the healthcare product innovation sector has been shrinking. There is an increasing demand by the regulators for high quality data from the innovators in support of inventions. The multidisciplinary nature of inventions, the rise of personalised medicine, the increase in orphan drug indications, the blurring of the drug/device distinction and the demand for efficient pipelines all contribute to this need.

There is a need for increased awareness of the Regulatory and Quality lanscape by the Innovators, especially from the SME's and in particular those based in academic organisations.

With this in mind, following the publication of the article "The Shrinking Black Box" by Pirus Consulting,  Mehryar Behizad (MD, Principal consultant) has been invited to present at the One Nucleus Life Science Leadership Series - Strategies and Funding of Clinical Trials.  The title of his talk, to be delivered at 2pm on September 24th, is Ensuring a Solid Foundation.
