Hands-on activities by LMB scientists at the Cambridge Science Festival
The opening weekend of the 2015 Cambridge Science Festival was a huge success, with thousands of visitors attending events on the 14 and 15 March. The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) scientists designed and ran two of the activities, ‘See your Cells’ at the Corn Exchange and ‘Crystal Clear’ at the Chemistry Department.

‘Best new emerging technology’ prize for new nano-iron supplement developed at MRC HNR
Scientists at MRC Human Nutrition Research have developed a new oral iron supplement that uses nanotechnology to mimic the natural structure of dietary iron. The nano-iron supplement is called IHAT and aims to treat iron deficiency anaemia – the world’s most common nutritional deficiency.

Cambridge MRC scientist awarded world's oldest scientific prize
Professor Sir John Walker FRS, Director of the Medical Research Council Mitochondrial Biology Unit in Cambridge has today (Tuesday 10 July) been awarded what is believed to be the world’s oldest scientific prize, the Copley Medal, by The Royal Society.
