Strategic property consultancy Rapleys announces a raft of promotions across the UK

CAMBRIDGE, UK - Strategic property consultancy Rapleys announces a raft of promotions across the UK with Daniel Cook made Equity Partner and Alice Ray and Ali McInroy both become heads of Cambridge & Huntingdon. The Partnership also announces record turnover.

Daniel Cook is based in Huntingdon and heads up the Automotive & Roadside team. He specialises in both agency and professional consultancy for the Automotive industry. With clients such as Pendragon plc, Mercedes-Benz, Network Rail, Sytner Group and Columbia Threadneedle, he also advises eight out of the top 10 car dealers in the UK, He is also a RICS Registered Valuer, RICS APC Assessor and a RICS Fellow. Daniel recently celebrated 18 years in the business.

Ali McInroy and Alice Ray take on the head of Cambridge/Huntingdon offices in recognition of their hard work and strong performance.

Rapleys also announced record results for the year ending April 2023 with turnover of £16.02m, compared to £12.8m last year, a rise of 25%, and a pre-tax profit ratio of over 30%. 

The growth was led by its Building Consultancy team, which has seen 300% increase in turnover in the last three years and launched new services such as ‘Housing Consultancy’, 'Cost Consultancy' and ‘Sustainability & Building Services’.

The other three core divisions of Commercial, Planning and Residential were boosted with the acquisition of three businesses in the last 12 months: planning consultancy CSJ in Bristol, residential consultancy s106 Affordable Housing on the South Coast and the biggest acquisition in the Partnership’s history with the purchase of Aston Rose in London. It also launched a new team ‘Rapleys Living’ last month. 

The last year has been pivotal for Rapleys who also rebranded, reorganised and announced considerable investment in people and infrastructure in September and launched its People Plan in May 2023 with the aim of becoming the employer of choice by promoting a fun and positive working environment, and bringing together the company business plan, values, technology, employee development, management of people, wellbeing and recognition. It introduced a range of new initiatives such as birthdays off, bolstered CPD, the removal of core working hours (hours instead agreed with employee & manager), minimum six weeks holiday for all employees and a wellbeing hub amongst many others.
