Sunday Science for the family at Cambridge Science Centre

The Cambridge Science Centre goes all-out science crazy for the Cambridge Science Festival, with two Sundays of fun-filled science and lots of great hands-on workshops and shows for all the family.

 

Sunday Science: 15 and 22 March

Check out the following highlights:

Make a Bug - Get stuck into infectious diseases and find out more by making all sorts of model bacteria and viruses, from those that help us to live, like the bacteria in our guts, to those that harm or even kill us.

Solar Science - Renowned expert in solar science, Dr Helen Mason, will be here to talk about the Sun and the forthcoming solar eclipse.

Dr Sujata Kundu will be also be running some great shows:

Wellcome Trust's Image Awards

Running from 19 March-7 June 2015 the Cambridge Science Centre will be digitally displaying the best in  science imaging talent and techniques from the Wellcome Trust.

This year’s award winning images include: a scanning electron micrograph of a greenfly’s eye; a clinical photograph of an elderly lady’s curved spine; an illustration of pollen grains; a confocal micrograph showing drug-carrying particles in the lungs of a mouse; and a picture that shows the intricacies of a paediatric multi-sensory unit.
