The PEM team are delighted to welcome James Lewin, Jan Ansari, and Marvel Okosun to their Cambridge-based M&A team.

PEM Corporate Finance welcome fresh faces

James Lewin, has been appointed Executive and brings several years of professional advisory experience from working in insurance, accountancy, and more recently, corporate finance. He has an analytical approach with specialist knowledge of Financial Due Diligence and SMEs which he gained whilst qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) at Mercer & Hole.

In addition, we welcome Jan Ansari who joins the team as an Analyst after studying BSc Accounting and Finance and MSc Investment Management, both at Swansea University. Jan is responsible for researching and producing valuation reports, developing potential buyer lists, and creating detailed presentations and financial models for our clients. Jan is a trainee who will be embarking on a formal programme of training and mentoring within PEM Corporate Finance.

Marvel Okosun also joins the team as an Analyst but on a placement year from the University of Warwick. In September 2023, she will return to university to complete her BSc Accounting & Finance degree. As part of her responsibilities, Marvel is tasked with analysing market trends and conditions and then translating those insights into data meaningful to her colleagues and clients.

Philip Olagunju, Partner at PEM Corporate Finance, said:

“As PEM Corporate Finance continues to experience growth, we’re delighted to welcome James, Jan, and Marvel to the team. They are fantastic additions to the business, and each of them will undoubtedly bring something fresh to the way we deliver our advisory services to our clients.

It’s been a busy year so far for PEM Corporate Finance. We’ve advised on several transactions in 2022, including the MBO of Titan, the sale of Cambridge Bioscience to Nordic Biosite Group, the acquisition of Century One by CPL and the sale of X-On to Southern Communications Group.

We’ve continued into the final quarter of 2022 with a very strong deal pipeline, which continues to grow and has created the opportunity for us to develop and expand the team.

So, despite the gloomy economic forecasts, I’m excited for the future and look forward to supporting our new recruits at PEM Corporate Finance.”
