University of Cambridge students awarded Bidwells prize

Students at the University of Cambridge have been presented with a Bidwells prize for their winning coursework project in real estate. Property consultancy Bidwells sponsored the prize for work which is part of the MPhil Real Estate Finance course.

Dr Franz Fuerst, Course Director of the module said: “Successful real estate development requires a broad multi-disciplinary approach and good teamwork skills. This is no different in the academic real estate development project that we set for our MPhil courses every year.

“While the members of the prize jury were impressed with the high standards achieved by all the groups regarding visual presentation and the delivery of a well-rounded concept, the winning team (Team 9) stood out because of the depth of their analysis and their ability to derive actionable recommendations based on this analysis.

“A sponsored prize always provides additional motivation for students but it also fosters our critical dialogue with the property industry which is why we are particularly grateful to Bidwells for their support.”

Patrick McMahon, Senior Partner at Bidwells presented the prize of iTunes vouchers to the winning team, and said: “We sponsored the coursework and also helped to set the task along with a panel of assessors. The standard of work this year was truly exceptional.

“We are delighted to sponsor the project as we feel it is important to support the industry’s next generation who are tomorrow’s talent.”
