From his experiences running to be Canadian prime minister to his recent battles with Victor Orban in Hungary over the fate of the CEU, from the rise of China to the threat of climate change, from Trump to Johnson and beyond, a wide-ranging conversation about what threatens democracy and what might be done to revive it.
This event is one of a series to launch Cambridge University’s new Centre for the Future of Democracy, (exploring the challenges and opportunities faced by democratic politics over the coming century).
