CRedit360 identified as leader in Sustainability Software by Groom Energy

Groom Energy highlights CRedit360 as market leader in a global review of 75 sustainability software vendors

As sustainability reporting and performance management continues to professionalize, companies are increasingly turning to specialist sustainability software providers. The 2013 Groom Energy Buyer’s Guide identifies no fewer than 75 vendors, from big generic software companies to small start-ups entering the market with external funding. As report author Paul Baier, VP of Sustainability Consulting and Research at Groom Energy, notes, “CRedit360 distinguishes itself as a leader with a comprehensive product that has been selected by a strong set of global companies to manage carbon accounting and sustainability performance across their global operations.”

With a decade in the field, over 110 clients and key accreditations and partnerships with the CDP, GRI and EPA ENERGY STAR, CRedit360 continues to set itself apart through heritage and specialism. Last year over 30 companies selected CRedit360 sustainability solutions – the largest list of new clients disclosed in this year’s Groom Energy report. Mark Shields, Managing Director of CRedit360, notes, “The latest Groom Energy Buyer’s Guide further confirms CRedit360’s leadership position and builds on another successful year with an ever expanding global client base, key partnerships and our recent award for Best Sustainability Software from Ethical Corporation.”

The report highlights a marked transition in the vendor landscape over the past two years with a number of providers now focusing on delivering more niche solutions, such as energy management, rather than providing broader enterprise sustainability solutions. However, companies continue to express the need for integrated solutions that allow them to manage all of their sustainability data; as Paul Baier notes in this year’s report, “The trend toward integrated solutions continues.” Effective sustainability management requires enterprise level software which handles the full spectrum of issues, from Energy and Carbon to EHS incident management and Compliance. This aligns with the CRedit360 approach of providing the 360 degree view of sustainability, spanning five solution areas: Energy and Carbon, EHS, CSR, Supply Chain and Compliance.

Analysts predict continued expansion of the sustainability software market, and CRedit360 recognizes the need for constant innovation to maintain its leadership position. CRedit360’s recent selection by the Carbon Trust to deliver Value Chain/Scope 3 GHG reporting solutions underlines the company’s long term commitment to leading in the sustainability software space.  Richard Kirby, Co-Founder and Technical Director of CRedit360, notes, “Every aspect of our software development and support is managed in-house, which gives us the control and flexibility to work with our clients to enhance and expand our solutions. All CRedit360 clients – including sustainability leaders like McDonald’s and Philips – benefit from the latest and best version of our system, which is continually evolving with their input.”
