Sepura Apprenticeship Programme goes from strength to strength

Sepura announces today the opening of five engineering apprenticeship opportunities within the framework of its Apprenticeship Programme launched in 2012.

The programme, designed to help develop talent for the future, is run in association with Cambridge Regional College (CRC) and focuses on training apprentice engineers in a variety of roles across different departments.  Sepura welcomed its first apprentices in January 2013.

The involvement and commitment with the Apprenticeship Programme earned Sepura the accolade of the CRC Engineering Employer of the Year in 2013; in particular CRC recognised Sepura’s outstanding support and contribution to the development of the selected apprentices.

Karl Forbes, Head of Product Realisation for Sepura commented: “Our apprentices have been growing professionally and adding a considerable amount of value to the teams they have joined. The success of our Apprenticeship Programme is not only confirmed by their impressive progress, but is also affirmed by Sepura’s growing investment which is enabling a larger intake of future engineers this year. The scheme reinforces Sepura’s commitment and involvement with its local community whilst laying the foundation of a positive legacy for future generations”.

Sepura Apprenticeship Programme supports the 125 Campaign launched in January this year by Cambridge News and CRC on the 125th anniversary of the newspaper, the campaign aims to find 125 apprentices for every year Cambridge News has been publishing. The considerable profile of this campaign at local and national level is demonstrated by the official support received by HRH the Duke of York and the Prime Minister David Cameron.
