Red Alien tees off with National Golf Month

May 2015 is National Golf Month - a nationwide initiative to make golf accessible to everyone – and to ensure the campaign sees the light in the digital day, NGM have brought in Red Alien - a leading digital marketing company - to breed a social media buzz for the tee off today (1st May).

 

The Red Alien team have been using their internet research and social media skills to help bring on board golf clubs, professional players and sports journalists to garner interest and participation for NGM and working to help hit the big audience participation targets in May.  

There is an aim to get 100,000 new players participating this month and to attract them there are over 3,000 events already available on the National Golf Month website, including free coaching sessions, playing offers, open days and much more.

Red Alien is also engaged with a number of celebrities who will be lending a hand and sharing their love of golf on Twitter with the trending hashtag #GetGolfing.

Red Alien Managing Director Zak Jacobs said: “We are delighted to be involved in this great project. There really is something for everyone during May and the perfect opportunity for lapsed golfers to come back and for new participants to try their hand at golfing.  There are also family days, free coaching sessions and much more which can be found on the NGM website.  The aliens will even be visiting one of our local golf courses for an afternoon coaching session."

The event is supported by the British Golf Industry Association, with additional media support coming from Bauer Media who reach over 22 million UK consumers every week via publications and radio and have associated magazines including Today’s Golfer and Golf World.

Red Alien will also be promoting the 30ft putt challenge which is part of National Golf Month and helping raise money for Dementia UK.  It is open to all members of the public who are being encouraged to use Social Media platforms to post videos of themselves putting for glory whether it’s on the Green or in the office.
