CTAB is a major concern in advancing the existing research into human use and Strem Chemicals Inc has signed a distribution agreement with SONA Nanotech Ltd. (SONA), a manufacturer of gold nanoparticles. SONA is the first company in the world to be able to synthesise and stabilise high quality gold nanorods without the use of CTAB and this agreement can accelerate the adoption of these nano particles for medical and surgical applications.
In addition, Strem's GNR products offer many features, supported by its patent-pending technical advances, which will offer benefits to the primary commercial users of gold nanoparticle products.
