With 35 teams of up to six players, including teams from Addenbrooke's, AstraZeneca, Napp and Marshall , there was a lot of friendly rivalry on the night. The overall winners were a team from Inivata who took home champagne for their efforts.

The event, held at The Granta Centre, also included a raffle and spot prizes to help raise further funds.

David Culley, co-manager of Pure’s Cambridge office, said: “We’ve been hosting quiz nights for many years and last night’s event proved to be the most successful ever. I would like to thank everyone that attended, donated and contributed to the event. We’re delighted to have been able to raise such a wonderful amount for this amazing charity. I hope everyone can join us again next year.

STARS offers bereavement support and pre-bereavement support to children and young people who have experienced the death of an important person in their lives or who are facing losing a loved one. As an independent charity, it relies on charitable donations to continue its work.

Pure is committed to its charity partners across the region and to date the leading recruitment consultancy business has raised over £117,000.
