The delegates on the mission are attending the TechConnect World Innovation Conference in Washington DC, undertook a US – EU Cluster Matchmaking Event and will visit Boston and Philadelphia, enabling EU clusters to develop transatlantic strategic business partnerships.

Sam Goodall comments: “I am delighted to have been selected to attend the mission which has provided me with an opportunity to meet new partners, explore the key opportunities for our members in the cleantech sector and promote Cambridge Cleantech as a leading European cluster."

Dr Frank Levene, senior member of the Cambridge Cleantech North American Special Interest Group and Director of Avitus, which provides soft landing services for companies setting up in the USA, says: “I am delighted that Sam has been selected to attend this major cleantech conference in Washington as it boosts the support that we have been providing to members through our roadshow events to enter the lucrative North American market."

Martin Garratt CEO at Cambridge Cleantech comments: “Our members have identified the USA as a key target market for the cleantech sector and so I am pleased that we had this opportunity to explore and develop our connections with   partners in the country and equally pleased that Sam has been identified as a leading expert in the field of sustainability to attend the mission."

This mission is fully funded by the EU and has been organised as a follow-up to the EU-US Cooperation Arrangement on Clusters signed between the US Department of Commerce and DG GROWTH of the European Commission.
