Cambridge celebrates success in Awards Week

The growing list of successful companies in the renowned Cambridge Cluster is recognised this week as the city hosts ceremonies for three sets of prestigious awards – Business Weekly, Cambridge News & Media Awards, plus the High Sheriff’s community awards.

Taking place tonight and over the next two days, the awards mark the innovation, technical excellence, growth and financial success of the region’s organisations, many of which are Cambridge Network members.

The High Sheriff’s Awards also mark the end of the year-long appointment of Dr Andy Harter CBE (pictured) – the Chair of Cambridge Network – as High Sheriff.  The High Sheriff nominee for 2019 is His Honour N A McKittrick DL. Dr Harter was last week announced as a Deputy Lieutenant by the Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Julie Spence OBE, QPM.

Business celebrations in the city continue this spring with Learning at Work Week in May, followed in June by Biotech Week, the Cambridge Wireless (CW) Digitising Industry conference, the 10th Cleanpower & Smart Grids Conference Summit, and Brains Eden. Keep an eye on the Cambridge Network events calendar for details.
