Cambridge BID Summer Business Event and AGM - Explore, Cherish, Stay

We are pleased to announce that the Cambridge BID Summer Business Event and AGM will take place on Thursday July 18th at Jesus College. The theme this year is Explore, Cherish, Stay.

Explore - We are keen for residents to explore and reconnect with their city, to discover parts they have not been to, or visited for a while.

Cherish - We want everyone to appriciate and cherish Cambridge, to feel a pride in the great offer we have and support our high street.

Stay - We want to increase the dwell time of people in the city centre and encourage them stay for longer so they get a greater experience of where they live or when they visit.

Starting with registration and drinks reception from 6.00pm, at 6.30pm our formal AGM, review of the year and keynote speeches until 7.40pm then networking until 9pm.

6:00pm - Welcome drinks and canapes
6:30pm - Cambridge BID AGM- Ian Sandison
6:40pm - 'A year in review and what lies ahead.' Ian Sandison, Cambridge BID
7:00pm - Keynote Speaker - 'Footfall trends on our high street, a Cambridge perspective' Diana Wehrle, Springboard
7:20pm - Second keynote speaker - Wild in Art on 'how public art can help people rediscover their city'.
7:40pm - Networking over drinks and buffet
9:00pm - Close

The evening is a great opportunity to hear about the work we have carried out over the year, our plans for 2019/2020 and Term 2. We will have a couple of Keynote Speakers followed by a panel discussion.

Whilst Cambridge regularly features at the top of ‘vibrant UK cities’ lists, times continue to be challenging for the high street and business in general. We need to be intentional about investing in initiatives that actively support local businesses, while creating a welcoming environment and world-class experience for all.
