Seeing through ‘older age’

While age-related distinctions are very common in social and employment contexts, the question is whether reduced physical and mental capabilities can be straightforwardly linked to chronological age, as has been the case with regard to limiting access to employment and financial services on the basis of age. Dr Helga Hejny, ARU, offers the possibility to look beyond age as a number and to experience how it could be very disheartening for the older generation to be treated differently.
