Oracle Power, unchanged at 0.02p, announced that Apex Geoscience has completed the maiden geochemical sampling programme to progress exploration at the Blue Rock Valley Copper and Silver Project, located in the Ashburton Basin in the northwest region of Western Australia. Additionally, 277 geochemical samples and 3 rock chip samples have been taken and are enroute to ALS laboratories in Perth, with assay results expected in around 3-4 weeks. The project is located 165km southeast of Onslow, the main port for the region's iron and LNG exports, which is a multi-user port. Geochemical sampling will be used as a multi-vector to rank gravity anomalies for priority drilling. Separately, the company, through its joint venture Oracle Energy Limited, announced that it has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Electric Power and Technology Co., Ltd (CET) which was previously signed and announced on 7 March 2023 and set to expire on 2 March 2025 to potentially develop, finance, construct, operate and maintain Oracle Energy's Green Hydrogen Project in Thatta, Sindh Province, Pakistan has been renewed for an additional two years to 1 March 2027.
UK markets ended higher last week, as softer-than-expected UK inflation in March, raised hopes for a Bank of England (BoE) rate cut in May. On the macro front, the UK BRC like-for-like retail sales rose more than expected in March. Meanwhile, the UK ILO unemployment rate remained unchanged in the three months to February, while the nation’s consumer price index rose less than expected in March, amid a drop in petrol prices. The FTSE 100 index advanced 3.9% to settle at 8,275.7, while the FTSE AIM 100 index rose 3.4% to close at 3,219.5. Meanwhile, the FTSE techMARK 100 index gained 2.2% to end at 6,020.0.

The DJIA index fell 5.1% to end at 38,170.4, while the NASDAQ index lost 5.1% to close at 15,870.9.
