Position Overview

The Electronics Test and Repair Engineer, will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic products, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and customer requirements.

The Electronics Test and Repair Engineer with a speciality in Process and Quality is foreseen, to perform additional duties compared to the Test and Repair Engineer, and it would be recognised as a level-up position. Additional duties requirements would be expected but not limited to 1/3 of your work activities.   
 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct electronics test and repair activities, ensuring the high-quality standards are met.
  • Utilize electronics knowledge to support testing and repair procedures.
  • Perform precise electronic repairs and troubleshooting on a variety of electronic products.
  • Read and understand electronic circuit diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Utilize various test software tools for diagnostics and analysis.
  • Speciality skill: Develop and optimize production processes to enhance
    efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Speciality skill: Help with setting up quality standards.
  • Speciality skill: Able to write technical documentation. (Electronics and Ink Delivery Systems)
  • Speciality skill: BOM recommendations.
  • Speciality skill: Sub-coordination of engineering, quality, and R&D activities.
  • Speciality skill: RMA process administration (Electronics and Ink Delivery Systems)

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum of GCSE A-levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding complex electronic circuit drawings.
  • Outstanding soldering skills and expertise in complex electronic repairs.
  • Experience with various test equipment, software tools and diagnostics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise electronic repairs.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose electronic issues effectively.
  • Prior experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Familiar with quality standards IPC 7711/7721
  • Familiarity with inkjet technology and its applications.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing tools and principles.

Working Conditions:
