We work extensively across a wide range of sectors, and we are looking for an HR business partner to work closely with our Global HR Team and partner with our Business Unit Leader Teams across the global organisation, developing local people strategies in line with the Company and People-Team strategy, vision and goals.

 

Responsibilities

This position requires high situational awareness and a strategic outlook, whilst also executing an efficient, high quality HR service, driving long-term business performance.

Depending on the strategic focus of the BUs the HRBP supports, the partnering will focus on the performance of existing organizations or helping to create new BUs for future growth.

This role will bring experience and knowledge of best practice HR to the organization, supporting the HR strategy and HR transformation projects. The role will participate/lead projects on behalf of the HR team.

This opportunity will be responsible for:

  • Delivering the people strategy for the business unit, in alignment with the central people strategy. Ensuring the business unit has effective and diverse teams that drive business performance
  • Work closely with the business and HR stakeholders to develop and deliver meaningful talent strategies, including; supporting strategic hires, onboarding, succession planning and championing Cambridge Consultants’ EDI strategy
  • Build managerial capability and confidence to ensure high performance within the business unit
  • Collaborate with the global HR team and Specialists to shape and support the deployment of high-quality HR initiatives, policies, and processes across the employee life cycle
  • Support the HR Director and Heads of, with the development and implementation of the HR strategy and HR team transformation
  • The successful candidate should have a sound understanding of HR processes and procedures to ensure a consistent service and alignment with HR Specialists and other HR Business Partners

  • Communicates effectively: adapts communication style for different audiences, able to bring complex people topics to life for stakeholders. Can resolve difficult and complicated situations, and able to coach and mentor team members

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified 
  • CIPD Level 7

Experience and Skills

  • Significant work experience as a strategic Senior / HR Business Partner
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to challenge and influence to a senior level
  • Able to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Experience leading and supporting change management initiatives
  • ER experience, mitigating risk and providing guidance and solutions on complex HR issues
  • Experience of developing policies, streamlining procedures & identifying areas for process/service improvement
  • Excellent communication / presentation skills, both verbal and written. Communicates and networks effectively, persuades and influences others, presents ideas confidently
  • Up to date employment law knowledge
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • Proactive, resilient & highly adaptable

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with highly technical customer group or in a consultancy environment
  • Global HR experience (supporting teams in the US & Asia)
  • Good understanding of Reward and EDI
  • Project management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills would be beneficial
