Accountabilities:

The Workplace Device Services Director has end to end accountability for the services that are delivered through the physical devices that employees use on a day to day basis. This includes service strategy, performance and availability along with the definition and delivery of a world class catalogue and strategic standards.  The services in the remit of this role include Laptops, Desktops, Mobile, Print and Video Conferencing – driving the roadmap to ensure we remain at the leading edge of technology innovation to maximise the employee experience and productivity.   Accountable for currency, partner and supplier contract and service delivery management, technology roadmap and refresh.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Industry recognized experience in managing global, enterprise teams with a successful track record in driving technology and organisational transformation and simplification
  • Significant experience in the management and delivery of large scale, refresh programmes
  • Significant experience in the management and delivery of 3rd party service agreements
  • Experience in leading global organisations (20+) and providing leadership/development to other managers
  • Collaborative, Innovative, Win: Win Attitude
  • Forward thinking and independent perspectives on Technology and IT leaderships
  • Evidence of leading and developing strategic solutions and business cases providing measurable business Value (Idea through to Delivery/Measurement)
  • Experience of defining strategies and influencing the vision of senior leaders

  • Sound technical knowledge of the technology, platforms and services across ETS
  • Agile Enterprise mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who continuously develops new skills and proactively leads own career and development.

  • Able to lead difficult discussions, manage expectations and deliver solutions across complex partner groups.
  • Ability to work well in and lead/collaborate across diverse matrixed global teams.
  • Expertise in change management and problem solving.
  • Experienced sustainable relationship management skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working in the Biopharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry
  • SDLC, Agile & Scrum methodologies
  • Experience working in different countries/cultures.
  • Confidence presenting to large internal and external audiences.
