As part of its Zero Carbon Communities grant scheme, South Cambridgeshire District Council awarded Cambourne Town Council £2,538 for extensive planting of hedgerows and trees around the Great Cambourne cricket outfield.

District councillors voted yesterday (Thursday) to adopt the new taxi licensing policy following consultations during which taxi drivers and operators, residents, businesses, councillors, trade associations and Cambridge City Council shared their views.

The money will go towards a raft of improvements linked to the District Council’s ‘green to the core’ priorities.

These affect:

  • the setting of Affordable Rents by Registered Housing Providers, for homes let to people on the councils’ housing registers;
