Cambridge Electric Transport (CET) continues to progress with the development of its CitiPod ultra-lightweight vehicle and recently showcased its first prototype at the Bradfield Centre, Cambridge Science Park.

CET co-founder and CEO Sean Moroney is pictured with members of the CitiPod advisory board who were meeting to map out further development of the vehicle.

“The CitiPod is a dual-purpose vehicle, with a Passenger version for personal mobility to replace cars for the school run, shopping and commuting. The Cargo version (in the photo) is ideal for last-mile deliveries, to replace many of the vans currently used,” explained Sean Moroney. “Although built to motor industry design standards, it conforms to e-bike regulations and can be driven on cycleways as well as roads, without any licence, tax or insurance required. The safety, stability and weather protection that it provides make it a highly inclusive active travel solution for all ages 14 upwards.”

CET is currently raising equity funding to take the CitiPod into production and will be holding a seed investment forum at the Bradfield Centre, Cambridge Science Park on 14 March 2024.
