We're delighted to have collaborated to this new toolkit!

Spearheaded by Dr Christine Grant from Coventry University, the resource is the result of the Remote4All Project, a research initiative funded by the Economic and Social Research Council’s Centre for Digital Futures at Work Research Centre.

The toolkit aims to help line managers better support disabled and neurodivergent employees working remotely has been launched, with contributions from a range of organisations including ourselves at neurobox, Vodafone, NHS Employers, Costain, and the UK Atomic Energy Authority.

Drawing on extensive research, the toolkit addresses a critical gap in support for disabled and neurodivergent staff in remote settings. Dr Grant’s findings—previously presented in Parliament—demonstrate how remote work, when approached with care and understanding, can significantly enhance workplace inclusion.

The toolkit offers line managers clear, evidence-based strategies for creating a more inclusive remote working environment. Topics include how to have effective conversations about remote needs, conduct accessible and inclusive meetings, and prevent social isolation among remote team members.

This initiative reflects a growing recognition of the importance of inclusive remote work practices—and the pivotal role managers play in making them a reality.
