Skills for Life apprenticeships

This week brings together businesses that are passionate about apprenticeships to celebrate and highlight the benefits, values, and opportunities that apprenticeships bring to an organisation.

The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2024 is “Skills for Life”. Highlighting how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to develop a workforce with ‘future ready’ skills.

Here we highlight what some of our members are doing to support apprenticeships:

Funding boost for degree apprenticeship provision at ARU

ARU invests in new School of Apprenticeships and six employment-focused courses. The university has received a £300k boost to its degree apprenticeship provision and will also open a new School of Apprenticeships dedicated to delivering excellence in these work-based qualifications. Read more.

A fast-growing Peterborough business has said unlocking young talent through apprenticeships has been crucial to its success and highlighted how a dedicated Combined Authority skills service is supporting its goal to build an ‘apprentice community’. Read more. 

New apprentice opportunities at Domino Printing

Domino Printing is offering four roles across its business: one in Formulation Chemistry, one in Software, one in Supply Chain and one in Continuous Improvement. Entry levels for each vary from open entry through to A-level or HNC level 3 or 4. Read more.
