Electronics Engineer

We are on the lookout for an Electronics Engineer to play a key role within the Electronics team as we expand to match our growing product portfolio. Our Electronics Engineers are involved in the whole product lifecycle from detailed design to verification testing and technical support for manufacturing. Your Role

The role requires an enthusiastic, flexible individual who is keen to take responsibility for a variety of different challenges across the product development lifecycle alongside the wider Electronics team.

Your Day to Day

As an Electronics Engineer at Sepura you will have responsibility for delivering small product features or significant parts of larger features, as well as supporting designs across the entire product lifecycle. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Contributions to the technical design and specification of radio and accessory products, including:
    • Ownership of the design and implementation for product features
    • Integration between electronic subsystems
    • Component specification and sourcing
    • Design, integration and test documentation
  • Collaborating across disciplines to resolve design and integration issues
  • Interaction with the Software team at device driver level (especially during bring-up phases)
  • Developing and executing test plans
  • Progress reporting to project team and line manager

What you need to succeed

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience

Experience and Skills

  • Strong understanding of fundamental electronics principles
  • Experience of selecting and confirming suitability of devices to meet core requirements, and understanding of the wider implications on hardware and software
  • Familiarity with digital interfaces, including I2C, UART and USB
  • Familiarity with analogue interfaces
  • Experience of a product development environment

Nice to have

  • Experience of simulating designs in LTSpice, Hyperlynx and Flowtherm.
  • Experience with MIPI interfaces and camera integration
  • Experience in high speed digital design
  • Power supply design and power management
  • Experience in Thermal simulation
  • Experience in audio design 
  • Experience in battery and charger design
